# Google AI Health Coach launched in India at Rs 99 a month 2026-08-26T13:46:45+00:00 | Technology | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 1 independent outlet Google has launched AI Health Coach, a Gemini-powered feature within the Google Health app, priced at Rs 99 a month or Rs 999 a year in India. It is also bundled with higher-tier Google AI plans like Google AI Pro and Ultra at no extra cost. The app acts as a personal trainer, dietician and sleep analyst, offering conversational workout planning and real-time advice based on user input and wearable data. The Coach can adjust workouts for travel, poor sleep or injury, and analyses sleep patterns to explain fatigue. Users can interact via text or voice, and upload PDFs or spreadsheets of existing training plans. However, the review notes the Coach is overly positive, lacking tough love, and its accuracy depends on the wearable feeding it data. Supported devices include Google Pixel Watch 4, Google Fitbit Air (not yet in India), and Google Pixel 5. ## Indian Opinion Analysis Google's move integrates its Fitbit acquisition of 2021 into a subscription AI service, competing with Apple Fitness+ and Samsung Health. The Rs 999 annual fee is cheaper than many human trainers but only useful for users already owning a compatible device, which start above Rs 20,000. The health-tracking wearable market in India grew 12% in 2024, per IDC, but high-end smartwatches remain a small fraction of that. The key gap: Google has not announced a timeline for Google Fitbit Air launch in India, limiting the user base. A wider device rollout or a lower-cost wearable would be the next signal to watch. ## Coverage - timesnownews.com First-person review with pros and cons, no political slant.
