# Google Maps adds Hindi and live transit tools to Ask Maps

Google has expanded its Ask Maps feature in India with Hindi support, live public transport updates and personalised recommendations. Users can ask questions in Hindi to discover places and plan routes. The service can also provide current information on traffic, weather and crowd levels at selected locations. An optional Personal Intelligence feature can connect Ask Maps with Gmail, allowing it to use details such as hotel bookings, flights and restaurant reservations when making suggestions. Users with conversation history enabled can resume earlier planning sessions. A new transit widget shows live schedules, delays and connections for buses, metro services and trains, with Delhi's ISBT Kashmere Gate cited as an example.
