The initiative follows attacks on commercial vessels in West Asia and the Black Sea. Kumar said safety of Indian seafarers is a top priority, with over 60 India-bound ships given safe passage from the Strait of Hormuz. The government has repatriated more than 4,000 Indian seafarers from West Asia, Minister Sarbananda Sonowal said. The beta version of the tracking dashboard will enable constant monitoring and coordinated response during crises.
