Minister of State for Environment Kirti Vardhan Singh said the mission is part of the National Action Plan on Climate Change. For the current financial year 2026-27, the government has allocated Rs 57.08 crore to seven states, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Manipur, Sikkim, and Uttar Pradesh, for approved restoration activities.
