# Gujarat begins NEET PG 2026 counselling, deadline October 8 2026-10-05T21:48:08+00:00 | Governance | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 1 independent outlet The Admission Committee for Professional Post-Graduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPPGMEC), Gujarat, has started the online registration process for first-year MD, MS and Diploma admissions for the 2026-27 academic year. The process covers government, management and NRI quota seats in medical colleges across the state. Candidates who qualified NEET PG 2026 and meet NMC and Gujarat state eligibility norms can apply. The online PIN can be purchased until 3:00 pm on October 8, 2026, and online registration with document upload closes at 5:00 pm on the same day. Document verification at designated Help Centres runs from 10:00 am on October 3 to 4:00 pm on October 9, 2026. The registration fee is Rs 28,000, comprising Rs 3,000 non-refundable and Rs 25,000 refundable security deposit. NRI candidates must also submit a Rs 25,000 demand draft as a non-refundable processing fee. Candidates must visit a Help Centre in person with original documents and registration slip to complete the process. All further updates will be published only on the committee's official website. ## Indian Opinion Analysis The tight window, registration closing on 8 October and verification on 9 October, leaves candidates with only three days to complete both online and offline steps. The requirement to pre-book a Help Centre slot and appear in person with original documents raises the risk of last-minute rushes and potential disqualification for those who miss the sequence. NRI candidates face an extra hurdle: a separate demand draft and a single verification centre in Gandhinagar. The committee has not yet announced the merit list date or choice-filling schedule, which will determine how quickly the admission cycle progresses for thousands of applicants. ## Coverage - medicaldialogues.in Straight factual relay of the committee's schedule and requirements without any editorial framing.
