# Gurnoor Brar viral photo authenticity remains unverified 2026-11-01T12:26:17+00:00 | Sports | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 2 independent outlets A photograph allegedly showing Indian cricketer Gurnoor Brar in a mirror selfie has gone viral on social media. The image, reportedly linked to a Snapchat story, has prompted speculation about its authenticity, but no confirmation exists whether it is real or AI-generated. Khel Now reports that the screenshot shows a Snapchat profile and timestamp but does not confirm the account belongs to Brar or that he shared the picture. M9.news adds that an alleged private chat with flirty messages is also circulating, with some users claiming a necklace in the photo matches one Brar has worn. Both outlets note that Brar has not commented and the authenticity remains unestablished. Brar, 26, made his ODI debut for India against Afghanistan on 13 June 2026. He has played nine ODIs, taking 14 wickets, and last appeared against West Indies on 3 October. ## Indian Opinion Analysis Khel Now's neutral-report treatment frames the photo as an unverified viral image, emphasising the absence of proof either way. M9.news adopts a sensationalist tone, leading with an alleged 'private chat leaked' and highlighting flirty messages and the necklace comparison to stoke speculation. Both sources agree on the core facts: no confirmation exists, and Brar has not commented. The key difference lies in framing, one sticks to what is known, the other amplifies the unsubstantiated details. The only concrete next step would be a statement from Brar, which neither source reports is imminent. ## Coverage Coverage: 2 sources, 1 neutral, 1 sensationalist - khelnow.com (neutral report) Presents both possibilities without taking a side, focuses on lack of verification - m9.news (sensationalist) Leads with 'private chat leaked' and highlights flirty messages for drama This brief was synthesised by AI from the 2 sources linked above, so one read covers every framing they carry.
