# Haiwaan trailer out: Akshay Kumar vs blind Saif Ali Khan 2026-08-24T23:47:45+00:00 | Entertainment | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 2 independent outlets The trailer for Haiwaan, starring Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan, is out. The thriller, directed by Priyadarshan, opens in cinemas on September 11. NDTV reports the trailer shows Akshay as a sinister antagonist stalking a visually impaired Saif through dark corridors, with Saiyami Kher playing a police officer investigating a series of murders. The trailer reveals Akshay lurking in shadows, taunting Saif. It is the official Hindi remake of the 2016 Malayalam film Oppam. Rohan Shankar and Abhilash Nair wrote the screenplay, with music by Pritam. NDTV Profit's report only asked when the trailer would release and did not confirm it was out. ## Indian Opinion Analysis This is a film promotional story, not a political one, but the two sources differ in format. NDTV's coverage is a detailed trailer description, scene-by-scene, dialogue-heavy, building anticipation for the September 11 release. NDTV Profit merely asks when the trailer releases, offering no update. The difference is less about stance than editorial function: NDTV (entertainment desk) treats the trailer as a news event worth narrating, NDTV Profit treats it as a pending calendar item. The lack of any political dimension means the analysis ends here. The film's box office performance on opening weekend will be the concrete measure of audience interest. ## Coverage Coverage: 2 sources, 2 neutral - ndtvprofit.com (neutral report) Detailed descriptive coverage of released trailer - ndtv.com (neutral report) Asks when trailer will release, no update given This story was synthesised by AI from the 2 sources linked above.
