The move follows May directions from the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) to deny fuel to vehicles without a valid pollution under control certificate (PUCC) from October 1. Vehicles with expired registration, no registration number, or diesel vehicles with Bharat Stage-IV or below will also be refused fuel. The first phase covers 775 pumps in Gurugram, Faridabad, Jhajjar and Sonepat, with a trial at 300 pumps by end of August.
