# HealthPlix Denies Reported Practo Acquisition Talks

HealthPlix cofounder Sandeep Gudibanda has denied reports that Practo is negotiating to acquire the healthtech SaaS startup. He told Inc42 that HealthPlix remains independent, is expanding in the US market and has cash equal to about 50% of its last fundraise. Inc42 had earlier reported, citing sources, that Practo was conducting due diligence for a deal worth $25 million to $30 million, potentially closing within weeks. The report said the acquisition would add HealthPlix’s electronic medical records and clinical workflow tools to Practo’s healthcare software business. HealthPlix last raised $22 million in 2023 and was valued at about $60 million. Practo did not respond to Inc42’s questions before publication.
