# Hema Malini dismisses rift rumours with Dharmendra’s family 2026-08-21T15:38:09+00:00 | Entertainment | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 2 independent outlets Hema Malini has dismissed reports of a rift between her family and Dharmendra's first family after the veteran actor's death, blaming artificial intelligence for fabricating the rumours. In an interview with Etimes cited by Times Now, the actor-politician said, "Ours is a very united family. We are all happy with each other. Please don't believe everything that is created through AI." She added that both families share a close bond despite years of public scrutiny over her marriage. Bollywood Hungama reported that Malini, 77, also said she no longer thinks about returning to acting and is focused on her political duties and family. She described Dharmendra as a "wonderful soulmate" and said she is "living with his memories." Malini recalled that he encouraged her classical dance, saying, "Go ahead, don't stop. Continue with your dance." She admitted the grief may never fully go away: "I think of him every minute." ## Indian Opinion Analysis Both Times Now and Bollywood Hungama reported the same interview neutrally, with no pro-government or critical slant. Both gave equal weight to Malini's denial of a family rift and her emotional reflection on losing Dharmendra. The coverage is uniform straight reporting, focusing on her statements without adding speculation. The key takeaway is that Malini has publicly closed the door on acting and dismissed AI-generated rumours, aiming to project family unity. A careful reader should note that the rift rumours themselves are not detailed by either outlet, only denied, leaving their origin unexamined. ## Coverage Coverage: 2 sources, 2 neutral - timesnownews.com (neutral report) Straightforward interview recap, no slant or sensationalism - bollywoodhungama.com (neutral report) Direct reporting of her statements, no added framing This story was synthesised by AI from the 2 sources linked above.
