The Bombay High Court has asked the Enforcement Directorate to clarify the status of assets attached in the Vijay Mallya case and whether settlement proceedings with the State Bank of India-led consortium are complete. The court said the long-running dispute should reach a conclusion. Mallya challenged an order allowing the consortium to use his attached assets. According to Times Now, his lawyer said the banks had recovered about Rs 15,000 crore against an original claim of roughly Rs 6,203 crore, including interest. The court asked the ED to confirm whether civil liabilities had been settled. Justice Milind Jadhav said the issue needed to be put to an end.
