# Demography panel meets Jammu groups, faces AIP criticism

The Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) on Wednesday said the Centre's high-level committee on demographic changes ignored families displaced from their ancestral homes along the LoC in Kashmir. The committee, headed by retired Supreme Court judge Justice Prakash Prabhakar Naolekar, arrived in Jammu on August 10 and has held interactions with civil society groups, visited a Kashmiri Pandit colony at Jagti, and inspected a slum allegedly housing Rohingya immigrants. BJP leader Sunil Sharma alleged Pakistan's infiltration and 'land jehad'. The AIP demanded the committee also hear Kashmiri Pandits and displaced families.
