Yemen's Iran-backed Houthis have claimed responsibility for a drone attack on a Saudi Aramco gas facility in the southwestern region of Jazan, according to two Indian news sites. The attack, announced by Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree on Tuesday, reportedly targeted a sensitive Aramco facility. The Hindustan Times reported a fire at the refinery on Sunday, which Saudi authorities said was extinguished with no injuries. The Hindu reported that operations were suspended at Najran Airport after the Houthis claimed a drone attack there. The Houthis said the strikes were in response to Saudi incursions into northwest Yemen. This is the second such Houthi attack on Saudi energy infrastructure within a month, coinciding with heightened regional tensions and renewed Houthi activity in the Red Sea.
