# HP TET November 2026 gets 39,984 applications, exam from November 22 2026-10-15T04:19:04+00:00 | Governance | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 1 independent outlet The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) has received 39,984 applications for the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) November 2026 session, with the application process now closed. Of these, 38,355 candidates have paid the prescribed fee, while 1,629 applications were submitted without payment. The Board has started screening applications and allocating examination centres. Examinations for various categories are scheduled to begin on November 22, 2026. Board chairman Dr Rajesh Sharma said the state government was committed to strengthening the education system and that appointing qualified teachers was essential to maintaining standards. Candidates are advised to monitor the official HPBOSE website for guidelines, centre details and other instructions. Further announcements will be made through the Board's official channels. ## Indian Opinion Analysis The exam's scale, with nearly 40,000 applicants and a November 22 start, puts pressure on the Board to complete centre allocation and screening in just over five weeks. The 1,629 unpaid applications, attributed by the Board to technical or other reasons, remain unresolved, and candidates in that group may need a remedy before the test. With the application window shut, the next concrete step is the release of centre details and guidelines on the HPBOSE website, which candidates must track. ## Coverage - timesofindia.indiatimes.com Straight reporting of application figures and exam schedule, with an official statement from the board chairman.
