The accused, Rama Bai, later died by suicide in a nearby forest area on Saturday. Both women were married to an agricultural worker named Kannu, who had married Rama Bai 30 years ago and Sakru Bai two years ago. Police said the two women frequently quarrelled over the husband. Family members rushed Sakru Bai to a government hospital but later brought her home due to inability to meet hospital and transport expenses, police said. She died about an hour later. Rama Bai's family found her body after searching with villagers. Police have registered a murder case and a suicide case.
