The land is estimated to be worth more than Rs 2,000 crore, based on current values of over Rs 200 crore an acre. The ownership case between a real estate firm and the Telangana government has continued for nearly two decades, leaving the site unattended and open to illegal dumping. The Cyberabad Municipal Corporation says dumping at the site stopped after its formation in February. It has invited agencies to plan scientific clearance, recycling and reuse of the waste. Processing could cost around Rs 50 crore.
