# Hyderabad plants 527 trees to honour Kargil heroes

Over 150 students, NCC cadets, Rotarians and forest officers planted 527 saplings at the Telangana State Forest Academy in Hyderabad's Dulapally area on Kargil Vijay Diwas. The drive, organised under Project Dhanyavaad by the Rotaract Club of Mahindra University, aimed to turn remembrance into action, thehansindia.com reports. Priyanka Varghese of the Forest Academy spoke on 'green patriotism', and retired Army officers were felicitated. Rotary leaders Ramesh Patel and Shanthi Palreddy urged youth to serve the nation beyond words.
