# Mephedrone worth Rs 54 crore, ganja chocolates seized in Telangana

Police in Telangana seized 27 kg of mephedrone worth Rs 54 crore in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district and arrested four persons on August 8. The contraband was being transported to Nagpur. Separately, the State Task Force caught a 39-year-old man with 4.2 kg of ganja chocolates in Rangareddy district, and EAGLE arrested a 30-year-old driver with 200 ml of hash oil worth Rs 2.5 lakh. The mephedrone was manufactured in a lab near Kondamadugu between August 5 and 7. The four accused include the alleged financier, manufacturer, and lab manager. The hash oil peddler, Burse Narendra Srinivas, had five prior NDPS cases and procured the oil from Odisha via Snapchat. All suspects have been handed over to police for legal action.
