Hyderabad's Regional Transport Authority has launched an online facility for vehicle owners seeking temporary permits for Ganesh immersion processions. From 31 August, applicants can apply through the RTA portal and receive a permit SR number digitally without visiting any office. The service covers auto-rickshaws, tractors, trucks and other goods vehicles used to carry idols. The move aims to reduce crowding at RTA offices during the festival rush.
