Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has ordered the procurement of new Metro coaches for Hyderabad and directed officials to speed up Phase-II expansion as ridership increases. The move aims to reduce congestion and private vehicle dependence in the rapidly urbanising city. Separately, Hyderabad Police have registered a case against an IPS trainee accused of sexually harassing and assaulting a fellow trainee at the National Police Academy in Shivarampally. The accused has been taken into custody, and the case remains under investigation.
