# IAF Wing Commander held for leaking secrets after honey trap

Delhi Police have arrested a serving Indian Air Force Wing Commander for allegedly sharing classified defence information with a Pakistani intelligence operative after a honey trap on social media. The 44-year-old officer was taken into custody on May 31, but the police disclosed the details on August 9, nearly 50 days later. The police said a chargesheet was filed on July 30. The accused was booked under the Official Secrets Act. According to police, a woman befriended him on social media, gained his trust, and tricked him into sharing sensitive documents. She also allegedly got him to install spyware on a colleague's phone. The case came to light after the IAF's intelligence unit detected the activity through electronic surveillance, The Federal and India TV report.
