# IAF wing commander arrested for leaking defence data to Pakistan

Delhi Police arrested a serving IAF Wing Commander on May 31 for leaking sensitive defence information to a Pakistani intelligence operative after allegedly being honey-trapped by a woman on social media. The officer, currently lodged in Tihar jail, has been booked under the Official Secrets Act and faces charges of sharing classified documents and installing spyware on a colleague's phone. The charge sheet was filed on July 30. Investigators suspect a larger espionage network. The IAF said the officer was under surveillance before being handed over to the police.
