# IIT Indore walk-in for 1 Senior Research Fellow on 23 October 2026-10-15T23:42:33+00:00 | Governance | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 1 independent outlet IIT Indore will hold a walk-in interview on 23 October 2026 to recruit one Senior Research Fellow for a 12-month project on oral cancer. Candidates must report at 10:00 AM at PoD 1A, Room 717, IIT Indore, Simrol, Indore. The post carries a pay of Rs. 42,000 per month plus 18% HRA. Eligible applicants need an M.Sc. or M.Tech. in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology or Life Sciences, with two years of relevant research experience. Prior experience in multiomics data analysis is desirable. The selected fellow will work under Principal Investigator Dr. Hem Chandra Jha on the project ‘India’s Oral Cancer Crises: The Oral Submucosal Fibrosis Challenge’. Candidates must bring a detailed CV, original certificates and self-attested copies of documents. ## Indian Opinion Analysis This walk-in interview for a project on oral cancer research gives a single candidate a short-term role, with only one post and a 12-month tenure. The scope of the selection process is narrow: one position, one vacancy, and no guarantee of filling it if no suitable candidate turns up. Candidates with multiomics data analysis experience get a clear edge, but the outcome depends on who walks in on 23 October. With no TA/DA paid, attendance itself may be a hurdle for outstation applicants. The real test will be whether IIT Indore finds a qualified candidate on the day, and if the project can absorb the person quickly within the funded period. ## Coverage - freejobalert.com straight job-notification listing with no framing This brief was synthesised by AI from the source linked above.
