# IIT Kharagpur Student Dies in Fall; Kolkata Nurse Found Dead

Ankit Sharma, 19, a second-year mechanical engineering student from Rajasthan, died after falling from the fourth floor of Nalanda Building on the IIT Kharagpur campus around 3 pm on Thursday. Security guards took him to hospital where he was declared dead. Police registered an unnatural death case. In a separate incident, the body of nurse Rupali Burman was found in a bathroom at NRS Medical College Hospital in Kolkata. Preliminary investigation found a needle mark and three vials of fentanyl. The health department formed an inquiry committee. Seven unnatural deaths of students have been reported at IIT Kharagpur this year. Both cases are being investigated.
