Four other PDP leaders were asked to join the investigation, while Iltija was summoned to Police Station Kothibagh. Police allege Iltija grabbed and bit an officer during the August 4 sit-in, causing a bleeding injury. Iltija, who was later hospitalised, alleged that police manhandled her and showed injuries on her arms.
