# IMD: heavy to very heavy rain in Himachal, Rajasthan; Delhi light

The India Meteorological Department has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall in parts of Rajasthan and Himachal Pradesh over the coming days. An orange alert has been issued for Himachal's Kangra, Mandi and Chamba districts for August 10-11. Delhi is expected to remain cloudy with intermittent light rain on August 14-15 and may cross its normal August rainfall of 233.1mm by Tuesday. Light to moderate rain is also likely in Uttarakhand and parts of Tamil Nadu.
