The trailer for Immortal, starring G V Prakash Kumar and Kayadu Lohar, has been released. Directed by Mariyappan Chinna, the Tamil romantic horror thriller follows Mahi, who moves into a flat with Sindhu after falling for her. Strange events soon begin, while Sindhu appears to know more than she says. The Times of India reports that the trailer also opens with a tribal couple preparing to welcome a child at an unnamed foreign location before shifting to Mahi’s story in India. OnlyKollywood says the plot links events from centuries ago with the present and features a mysterious creature, but the central mystery remains undisclosed. Dhanush released the trailer. The film has received a clean U certificate and is scheduled for theatrical release on 4 September 2026. Sam CS has composed the music.

## Indian Opinion Analysis

OnlyKollywood uses promotional language, leading with suspense, supernatural elements and unanswered questions, while The Times of India provides a fuller account of Mahi and Sindhu’s relationship, the flat and the certification. The first framing builds anticipation but leaves the story’s mechanics largely vague. The second supplies plot detail yet still presents the film’s possible twist as a trailer tease rather than an established fact. Together, the reports indicate a romance-led horror film whose central secret is being withheld until release. Immortal is scheduled to reach theatres on 4 September 2026.
