Cyber insurance rates in India crashed 25-30% in the second quarter of 2026, according to Marsh's Global Insurance Market Index. The decline is far steeper than the 14% drop across the IMEA region. Property insurance rates fell 19%, casualty insurance dipped 3%, and financial and professional lines declined 6%. Directors' and officers' liability rates fell 15-20%, while professional indemnity insurance saw cuts of 20-25%. Strong insurer competition and abundant capacity drove the softer market. Property insurers intensified competition after tariff removal, while general liability registered some of the largest regional pricing declines. Marsh says businesses now have an opportunity to strengthen coverage and limits at competitive prices.
