India's consumer price index (CPI) inflation stood at 4.45% in March, led by food inflation which rose to 5.2%, NDTV Profit reports. On a month-on-month basis, headline inflation increased 0.9% while food prices rose 2%. Core inflation remained sticky, the report adds. Despite the moderation within the RBI's 2-6% target band, Bank of America (BofA) still expects the central bank to hike rates by 50 basis points in FY27. The data comes amid global trade uncertainty and domestic demand pressures.
