# Indian Navy museum opens in Lucknow from August 15

The Nausena Shaurya Vatika, an open-air museum showcasing Indian Navy equipment, will open to the public in Lucknow's CG City on August 15, 2026. Entry is free for the first two weeks; thereafter, tickets cost Rs 25 for children and Rs 50 for adults. The museum will operate from 10 am to 8 pm daily, managed by the Lucknow Development Authority. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the museum on May 30, 2026, according to LDA Vice Chairman Prathamesh Kumar. Displays include a TU-142 maritime patrol aircraft, parts of INS Gomati, missiles, torpedo launchers, and guns. The 3 UP Naval Unit will hoist the flag on Independence Day.
