# India’s FTA exports surge, Singapore and Sri Lanka shipments double

India's exports to key free trade agreement (FTA) partners surged in the first quarter of 2026-27, with shipments to Singapore and Sri Lanka more than doubling, according to commerce ministry data. Exports to Singapore jumped 101.2% to $6.52 billion, and to Sri Lanka rose 123.8% to $2.35 billion during April-June 2026. Shipments to the ASEAN region grew 61.6% to $14.61 billion. Among individual countries, exports to Malaysia rose 75.2% to $2.54 billion, and grew 25.2% to $2.68 billion for Australia. Overall, India's total exports increased 15.92% to $129.32 billion in the quarter. India has signed 17 FTAs, of which 16 are operational.
