# Inquiry ordered after MP hostel students protest with food plates

City Magistrate Bajrang Bahangur Singh ordered an inquiry after students from the Senior Combined Project Boys’ Hostel in Khandwa reached the Collectorate carrying plates of food, the Freepress Journal reports. The students had walked nearly 4 km to submit a memorandum complaining of poor-quality meals, dead insects and caterpillars in food, and misbehaviour by hostel staff. The hostel superintendent has been issued a show-cause notice. Officials said termination of contractual staff is possible if negligence is proved.
