Iran says it and Oman have agreed a route for ships using the Strait of Hormuz and are finalising a written agreement or joint statement. Tehran said the document could be issued if third parties do not interfere. The reports provide no details on the proposed lanes, operating arrangements or timeline. Oman has not publicly confirmed the plan. Pakistan hopes the agreement will help restart technical talks between Iran and the United States. India has identified 13 of 25 India-bound vessels in the strait for evacuation, including ships carrying fertilisers and energy products, The Times of India reported. Officials said 4,052 Indian seafarers had been repatriated and the waterway was designated a high-risk zone.
