Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian will visit India for the 18th BRICS summit in New Delhi in September, according to reports. The visit comes as Iran is engaged in a conflict with the US and Israel, and while India has maintained a neutral stance, urging both sides to end hostilities. Russia and China have openly backed Iran. Pezeshkian is expected to hold a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with West Asia peace and India's potential diplomatic role likely on the agenda. Iran's foreign ministry has indicated it would welcome any constructive Indian peace initiative.
