# Iran releases undated video of new Supreme Leader amid health rumours

Iranian state media has released an undated video of Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, who has not appeared in public since his father, Ali Khamenei, was killed in a US-Israeli airstrike in February. The 12-second clip, published by the Mehr news agency on Saturday, shows Khamenei seated and talking with people. It comes amid months of speculation about his health and whereabouts. President Masoud Pezeshkian said this week he met Khamenei, but provided no date. A Revolutionary Guards general later said images of Khamenei would be released eventually, without a timeline. Israeli media has reported Khamenei is in poor condition, while US President Donald Trump claimed he is "90 per cent gone."
