# ISI Kolkata invites online applications for Project Research Associate-III post 2026-10-21T15:22:30+00:00 | Governance | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 1 independent outlet The Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Kolkata, has invited online applications for the post of Project linked Research Associate-III under Advertisement No. PU/507/ADV/897. There is one vacancy, and the pay is Rs. 67,000 per month plus HRA. The last date to apply is 27 October 2026. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Mathematics or a related field, with a strong publication record in top theoretical computer science conferences or journals. The maximum age limit is 45 years as of 29 October 2026. Selection will be through shortlisting, a possible written or programming test, and a walk-in interview scheduled for 29 October 2026. The appointment is initially temporary until 31 March 2027, with possible extension. No application fee has been mentioned. Applications must be submitted online by email to the address given in the notification, along with a signed application form, biodata, self-attested copies of documents, and a passport-size photograph. ## Indian Opinion Analysis The single vacancy and temporary tenure until March 2027 mean that only one candidate will be hired for a short project role, and the requirement for publications in top CS conferences or journals sets a high academic bar. The notice does not specify any application fee, which lowers the entry barrier, but the lack of TA/DA and the institute's right not to appoint add uncertainty for applicants. Candidates must submit their resume and documents by 27 October 2026, and the walk-in interview is on 29 October 2026, giving a narrow window for preparation. ## Coverage - freejobalert.com Straightforward job listing without editorial slant This brief was synthesised by AI from the source linked above.
