# ISRO announces 746 vacancies, 93 scientist posts via GATE

ISRO and the Department of Space have announced 746 vacancies through three notifications issued between July 27 and 29. The openings include 336 regular posts, 244 administrative positions and 92 Scientist/Engineer SC posts at Level-10, along with 410 apprenticeships for the 2026-27 training year. URSC Bengaluru will handle the apprenticeship programme for graduates and diploma holders. For the 93 scientist and engineer posts, candidates must have a valid GATE 2025 or GATE 2026 score, reports the Free Press Journal. Shortlisting for interviews will be at a 1:7 ratio based on GATE scores, followed by an interview carrying equal weight for final selection in Electronics, Mechanical and Computer Science. Applications close on August 17, 2026. Apprentices will receive a stipend but no guarantee of permanent employment.
