India's IT-BPM industry is set to add fewer than 70,000 people in the first half of FY27 (April-September 2026), a drop of more than 26% from 95,000 in the same period last year, according to a report from HAN Digital. The 5.95-million-strong sector is undergoing a structural reset as companies prioritise AI-driven productivity, leaner models and flexible talent.
