# ITBP Head Constable recruitment closes October 27, pay up to Rs 81,100 2026-10-26T09:52:00+00:00 | Governance | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 1 independent outlet The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) will close online applications for Head Constable posts on Tuesday, October 27, 2026. Candidates who have passed Class 12 and hold an ITI certificate in a relevant trade with three years' experience, or a three-year diploma in Automobile Engineering, can apply on recruitment.itbpolice.nic.in. The salary under Pay Level 4 of the 7th Pay Commission ranges from Rs 25,500 to Rs 81,100 per month. Applicants must be aged 18 to 25 years as of October 27. SC, ST and OBC candidates get age relaxation as per government rules. The selection includes a Physical Efficiency Test, Physical Standard Test, written examination, practical skill test, document verification and a medical examination. General, OBC and EWS candidates pay Rs 100, SC, ST and ex-servicemen pay nothing. ## Indian Opinion Analysis The application window for ITBP Head Constable posts closes on October 27, giving candidates one day to submit forms. A salary reaching Rs 81,100 under Pay Level 4, combined with Central government allowances, makes this a competitive entry-level position. The requirement for Class 12 plus an ITI certificate and three years' experience, or a diploma in Automobile Engineering, narrows the eligible pool to technically trained candidates. The selection process strings together physical tests, a written exam, a practical skill assessment, document verification and a medical check, meaning applicants must clear every stage. With no official vacancy figure disclosed by the ITBP, prospective candidates cannot gauge the competition ratio, leaving the number of available posts as the unresolved variable that will determine the odds of selection. ## Coverage - udaipurkiran.com Straight recruitment notice: dates, eligibility and steps listed neutrally This brief was synthesised by AI from the source linked above.
