# Jagamae Sangeetham trailer out, Prime Video series premieres September 4 2026-08-25T18:23:15+00:00 | Entertainment | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 1 independent outlet Prime Video has released the trailer for Jagamae Sangeetham, a Telugu musical drama starring Prakash Raj. The series is created and directed by Palnati Surya Pratap and is based on the Prime Video show Bandish Bandits. It will premiere on September 4. The story follows a family divided by clashing ideals, with Carnatic music as its emotional core. Prakash Raj plays Shastri, a father struggling to protect a family legacy. The cast also includes Meka Srikanth, Madhubala, Suman, Jhansi, and others. Vishal Chandrasekhar has composed the music, and Sushmita Konidela produces under Gold Box Entertainment. The series releases on Prime Video on September 4. ## Indian Opinion Analysis Jagamae Sangeetham is the Telugu adaptation of Bandish Bandits, a series that ran two seasons on Prime Video. The original show, set in Rajasthan and centred on Hindustani classical music, drew a modest but loyal audience. Translating that premise into Telugu with a Carnatic music backdrop is a bet on regional-language demand driving streaming viewership. Prakash Raj, a veteran who often plays authoritative father figures, lends the project mainstream recognition. The key number to watch is the series' completion rate in its first month, which will determine whether Prime Video commissions more Telugu-language originals in this genre. ## Coverage - cinemaexpress.com Straight news announcement of trailer release and premiere date with quotes from cast and crew.
