Rajinikanth’s most anticipated sequel, Jailer 2 directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, has locked a worldwide theatrical release for October 15. Meanwhile, industry buzz suggests Chiranjeevi’s long-delayed Vishwambhara may arrive just a day later on October 16, though no official announcement has been made. M9.news reports that the Vishwambhara release plan could be revealed on August 22, Chiranjeevi's birthday. After Jailer 2, Rajinikanth is expected to star in Dharman, helmed by Ashwath Marimuthu, reportedly planned for the 2027 Sankranti season. Around the same time, Chiranjeevi’s Mega 158 (tentatively titled Kadiri Kakaji) is also being prepared for Sankranti 2027, setting up a potential repeat clash. Both projects, however, are still subject to change.
