# Jamie Foxx to Star in Kill Director Nikhil Bhat’s Hollywood Debut Deadlocked

Jamie Foxx will headline and produce 'Deadlocked', a hostage thriller directed by Nikhil Bhat, who made the Hindi action film 'Kill' (2023). Amazon MGM Studios will distribute the film worldwide, Deadline reports. The story follows a grieving former US Marine serving jury duty who is forced back into action when a woman takes control of a courthouse to free her father on trial. Foxx’s daughter Corinne will executive produce alongside others. Bhat’s 'Kill' premiered at TIFF and earned over Rs 47 crore at the Indian box office. The director, who also made 'Apurva', will now make his English-language feature debut. The screenplay was written by Eric Scott Anderson and Matt Takejiro Bosack.
