# Crime Branch files chargesheet in J-K land encroachment case

The Crime Branch Jammu has filed a chargesheet against Yash Paul for allegedly encroaching on more than two-and-a-half kanals of state land in Rajouri district. The Economic Offences Wing submitted the chargesheet in the Sunderbani court on Saturday, four years after the initial complaint. The case stems from a 2022 complaint by Acharya Rajesh Kumar Prashar, who accused Paul of colluding with revenue and forest officials to occupy the land. Investigation found that mutation no 4193 was attested in violation of government orders and later declared void by the additional deputy commissioner. Demarcation confirmed the encroachment of 2 kanal 11 marla in Bhajwal village.
