A new video game titled ‘Jantar Mantar Chalo’, inspired by recent protests in Delhi, has gone viral. Created by 27-year-old DevOps engineer Suraj Kushwah from Bareilly, the game offers a satirical simulation of reaching Jantar Mantar. Players can choose to join protesters or play as Delhi Police, dodging obstacles like internet shutdowns and detention. The game’s description reads: ‘Build a kafila, dodge the police, reach Jantar Mantar and hold the dharna. Or be the police and stop them.’ It supports online multiplayer and is available at mantarjantar.com. The game gained traction after Kushwah shared a reel on Instagram, which was subsequently shared by influencers.

## Indian Opinion Analysis

Indianexpress.com frames the story as a light-hearted tech novelty, reporting the game’s features and viral reception without linking it to specific political events. Odishabytes.com adds context, naming the Cockroach Janta Party and the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, and noting that Jantar Mantar has been denotified as a protest site. The difference lies in odishabytes.com embedding the game within a political narrative, while indianexpress.com keeps it as a neutral-report. The uniform coverage is straight reporting, the balanced reading is that the game is a satire of recent protest logistics, not of any particular party.
