# Jazz Room brings New Orleans soul to Delhi on 16 August 2026-08-21T16:17:02+00:00 | Entertainment | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 1 independent outlet An immersive jazz experience called The Jazz Room: A Journey to the Heart of New Orleans was held in Delhi on 16 August at The Piano Man, Eldeco Centre. Organised by Live Your City by Fever Labs Inc., the event featured a curated repertoire of traditional jazz standards and tributes to legends like Louis Armstrong and Frank Sinatra, with audiences seated at tables enjoying drinks in an intimate club-like setting. The format balances structured musical arrangements with spontaneous improvisation, giving each performance a distinct character. Pranjal Begwani, the Jazz Room & Candlelight Lead at Live Your City, said the response has been encouraging and that the format creates a platform for local jazz musicians in India. The event has previously been staged in over 100 cities worldwide. Live Your City plans to evolve The Jazz Room as a recurring live music format in India, with programming exploring different artists, eras and interpretations of jazz. The company aims to build a format rooted in the genre's character while creating more opportunities for local talent. ## Indian Opinion Analysis Live Your City, which also runs the Candlelight concert series, is betting on niche, premium live formats as India's urban entertainment market grows. The Jazz Room competes with a handful of dedicated jazz venues in metros, but most jazz programming in India remains limited to hotel lounges and festival stages. The key question is whether the format can scale beyond Delhi's Piano Man, a venue with a built-in jazz audience. Watch for whether the next edition lands in a non-metro city like Pune or Chandigarh, which would signal broader demand. 60 words. ## Coverage - timesofindia.indiatimes.com Straight event report with organiser quotes, no political or ideological slant.
