# Jharkhand students breach barricades; fasting leader joins march in ambulance

Thousands of students marched to the Jharkhand assembly on Monday, breaching multiple layers of barbed-wire barricades as police used water cannons and carried out mild lathicharge. Protester Devendra Nath Mahto, on a nine-day hunger strike over alleged recruitment exam irregularities, joined the march in an ambulance, saying the government 'will have to listen'. The protesters demand cancellation of the JSSC-CGL exam and a CBI probe. The government says it has accepted 98 per cent of demands, but protesters insist only three of 13 exams were scrapped. The Enforcement Directorate has registered a money laundering case. Three JPSC members resigned after being summoned by the CID.
