# Jio launches Rs 15 unlimited 5G data pack for 24 hours 2026-11-04T13:56:41+00:00 | Governance | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 2 independent outlets Reliance Jio has announced a Rs 15 data pack offering unlimited 5G connectivity for 24 hours. The add-on will be available from 5 November through the MyJio app, Jio's web portal, retail outlets and authorised recharge platforms, according to an announcement note reported by News9Live. FoneArena says the plan provides unthrottled access to Jio's standalone 5G network, supporting 4K video streaming, low-latency mobile gaming, large file transfers, cloud backups and tethered connectivity for laptops and tablets. Eligible users need a 5G-compatible smartphone in a Jio True 5G coverage zone with an active base prepaid plan. News9Live notes that under Jio's existing rules, unlimited 5G generally requires an eligible recharge offering at least 2GB of daily data, and whether the reported Rs 15 pack changes that requirement is unclear. The pack is targeted at users needing temporary high-bandwidth data without committing to standard recurring plans. ## Indian Opinion Analysis Both FoneArena and News9Live report the same basic facts about Jio's Rs 15 24-hour unlimited 5G pack, but their framing differs. FoneArena leads with a detailed list of use cases and presents the product as a confirmed launch, while News9Live highlights uncertainty, noting that availability and eligibility conditions remain unverified and that it is unclear whether the pack alters Jio's existing 2GB daily data threshold for unlimited 5G. News9Live also adds a comparison with Airtel's Rs 49 one-day pack, providing competitive context that FoneArena omits. The balanced reading is that Jio has announced the pack, but key terms such as the minimum base plan requirement have not been officially clarified, leaving room for different interpretations of the offer's scope. ## Coverage Coverage: 2 sources, 2 neutral - fonearena.com (neutral report) Reports the pack as a confirmed launch with detailed use cases - news9live.com (neutral report) Highlights unverified conditions and adds Airtel comparison This brief was synthesised by AI from the 2 sources linked above, so one read covers every framing they carry.
