# J&K Phase 2 turnout tops 56%, Srinagar records 29.24%

More than 56% of voters cast ballots across 26 Assembly constituencies in the second phase of the Jammu and Kashmir election on September 25, with no violence or polling station requiring a repoll, the Election Commission said. Reasi recorded the highest turnout at 74.14%, followed by Poonch at 73.78% and Rajouri at 69.85%. Srinagar district, however, recorded 29.24% turnout across its eight constituencies. The Hindu reports that polling was subdued in several parts of the city, though the figure was above its roughly 27% turnout in 2014 and more than 5% above its Lok Sabha election figure. Habba Kadal recorded 15.8% polling by 5 p.m., while Eidgah recorded 34.65%.
