Union minister JP Nadda on Monday rejected Rahul Gandhi's claim that firing took place at the Jantar Mantar protest, accusing the Leader of Opposition of misleading the public. Nadda said no shots were fired and no such order was issued. He alleged that Gandhi kept changing his demands, from NEET to Ram Mandir trust to Jantar Mantar, to prevent Parliament from functioning for 15 days. Nadda challenged Gandhi to debate any issue, saying Home Minister Amit Shah was ready to answer. He also questioned Congress's silence on the Jharkhand student protest, accusing it of double standards. The Hindu reports that Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said the government offered a full discussion.
