Announced in 2024, the film took over two years to finish production. Directed by debutant Nithish KTR, who previously edited the 2023 horror thriller Phoenix, the film also stars Joemon Jyothir, Siju Sunny, Althaf Salim, Siddique, Prasanth Muraly, Nayana Elza and P P Kunhikrishnan. Cinematography is by Alby Antony, music by Rahul Raj. Jointly scripted by Nithish and Sujin Sujathan, the film is produced by Vijay Babu and Vijay Subramaniam under Friday Film House and 29 September Works. Plot and genre details remain undisclosed. Indrajith was last seen in Anurag Kashyap's crime thriller Bandar. ## Indian Opinion Analysis Kaalante Thangakkudam is a test for Friday Film House, which has bankrolled a mix of hits and misses since its founding. Indrajith Sukumaran, known for his versatility in Malayalam cinema, has not headlined a solo commercial success recently. Debutant director Nithish KTR's transition from editor to filmmaker will be watched closely, especially given his work on the well-received Phoenix. The film's long production cycle of over two years hints at possible script revisions or scheduling challenges, though the team has kept details tightly held. A release date announcement is the next milestone to track. ## Coverage - cinemaexpress.com Straightforward announcement of production wrap, no editorial slant.
